though motor-compressorruns
continually.
This defectisindicatedby
the
presenceof water outsidethe
refrigeratornearthe motorcaused
by formationsof iceon the return
tube.
This defectisindicatedby the partial
frostingof
the
evaporatorand by
continualdefrostingcycles
determinedby the interruptionof the
flow of gas onthe evaporator.The
motor compressorkeepsrunning.
Poor
performanceof
the
refrigerant
systemwhich is indicated:on
the
evaporatorwith a slightfrost which
does notfreeze and anexcessive
overheatingof the condenserand
motor-compressor,
Becauseof
the
lackof circulation
Freonin the system,there is no
frostingof the evaporator,whilea
slight overheatingof the first spiralof
the condenseris noted.
The systemdoes notwork and the
"OLP"intervenesinterrupting
deliveryto the motor-compressor.
No frost formson the evaporator,
even ifthe motor-compressoris
apparentlyrunningregulary.
In caseof mechanicalfailurein the
motor-compressorthere in an
excessivenoise
when
the system is
functioning.In casea suspension
springis unhooked,bangingwill be
heard and therewill be especially
strongvibrationswhen thesystem
starts upand stops.
An emptyrefrigerantsystem
indicatesa leakageof R134a.This
lossis generallyto belookedfor at
the soldering pointsconnectingthe
variouscomponentsor in an
eventualhole in the evaporator
madeby the user.
If in the refrigerantsystema quantity
of R134a isintroducedwhich is
greater than that indicated,the
excessgas does notterminateits
expansionin the evaporatorbut
proceedsintothe returntube.
The refrigerantsystemis humid
when there isa small percentageof
water present,which, notcompletely
retainedby the dehydratorfilter,
entersintocirculationwith the
Freon®and freezesat the capillary
exitin the
evaporator,
There isair in the refrigerating
systemwhenduring thefilIing phase
vacuumis not effectedor it isnot
adequatelydone.
Impuritiescontainedin the Freon®
or in thecomponentsof the
refrigerationsystem before
assemblyand not retainedby the
filter can obstructthe capillary.
In caseof shortcircuit,the
breakdownisdue
to
the electric
winding. If blocked,there is a
mechanicalfailurein the motor-
compressor.
In this casethere is a mechanical
failurein the diaphramvalveswhich
remainingcontinuallyopen, donot
permitthe compressorto operate.
Consequentely,Freon®does not
circulatein the system.
The causeof the
excessive
noiseis
normallyto be soughtfor in a
mechanicalbreakdown,andonly
rarelyin the unhookingof one of the
suspensionsprings.
Leakagemust beeliminated by
resolderingthe defectivepointor
substitutingthe damaged
evaporator,
The system mustbe emptiedand
subsequentlyrefilled introducingthe
correctquantityof R134a.
The system mustbe emptiedand
then
refilled after
eliminating
the
humidity.
Groupmust bedrainedand
subsequentlyrefilled aftercarefully
creatingvacuum.
To restorethesystem it must be
emptied,substitutethe capillaryor
the evaporatorentirelyincasethe
capillaryis coaxialwith respectto
the returntube,then refill it,
The motor-compressormust be
replacedand then proceedwith
refilling.
The motor-comprossormust be
replacedand then proceedwith
refilling.
