This download is all that is needed for your adapter to connect to the network.
This pack includes base drivers only for Intel PRO/100 Server and PRO/100 Desktop adapters for Windows 98, 98 SE, and Me. Also for Intel PRO/1000 Desktop adapters for Windows 98 SE, and Me. Does not apply to Windows 98 original release for the PRO/1000 Desktop adapters. From Master Software Release 9.1.
Includes Makedisk Utilities. Separate downloads are available for Intel PROSet II, Diagnostics, the Users Guides and other features including Management agents.
If, after updating the drivers on Gigabit interfaces, you get a VFAT error, try booting into Safe Mode and then changing the Transmit Descriptors and Receive Descriptors in the adapters advanced properties to reduce the number to 80.
This software may also apply to 8255x, 82562, and 8254x Intel Ethernet controllers. Support for those products is provided by the board manufacturer.
